Someone really needs to open a Chick-fil-a in or nearer to Swainsboro.  They are doing the free chicken thing again.  This time it’s Cheer For Chicken.

This is from the official rules and F.A.Q.s……..   What is the Promotional Offer?

Visit any participating Chick-fil-A restaurant wearing your favorite football team’s attire or logo on Labor Day, Sept. 1, 2008, from 10:30 a.m. until close and get one free order of our new Chick-n-Strips (3-count). Limit one order per person while supplies last.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: To receive one (1) free three-count order of Chick-n-Strips (“Chick-n-Strips”) while supplies last, eligible participants should visit participating Chick-fil-A locations from 10:30 AM until close on September 1, 2008 wearing at least one visible article of clothing that contains any football team logo or collegiate logo and mention this Promotion. McDonald’s is doing it again.  The restaurant chain is giving away a free chicken biscuit or sandwich with the purchase of a medium or large drink to celebrate the Summer Olympic games.  All you have to doo is go to www.facetheglory.com and click on the free offer button.  It requires registering and you have to print the coupon out using a color printer.  All and all, a tiny hoop to jump through for a cheap lunch.

It’s times like this that I wish I lived closer to a Chick-fil-a.  We used to live within walking distance of one.  Now for us it’s a half hour drive or so, we’d have to go to Dublin or Statesboro.  I found out that July 11th is Cow Appreciation Day.  All you have to do is dress like a cow and go into the restaurant and they’ll give you a combo meal. This can be done breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Here are a couple of links that not only explain all the rules, but also a section with tips (cow tipping ) on how to dress like a cow, some are actually do-able and won’t cause total embarrassment.



There is also a something for those “too chicken” to dress the part :
