We now have two weeks until Holly arrives. I still haven’t gotten a specific time/day of arrival, but I will go this morning to register and enroll her at the high school. I told my area rep. last night that I wasn’t sure how to do that because I registered Katie back in 1997 and haven’t had to do anything since. Everything has always been handled for me by the various schools. It should be very interesting to say the least.
Preparations for Holly now feel the same as actually moving day. I feel like I am in the middle of moving. Her room is almost ready, but now I am faced with extra stuff in almost every part of the rest of the house. It’s our chance to really get rid of a lot of clutter. I think I have at least one bag of clothes for Goodwill.
What makes it a little bit harder is that Katie won’t be around the next two weeks either. She leaves next Tuesday morning to go to 4-H State Congress and won’t be back until Friday afternoon. Then the following week she has band camp from 8 am until 5 pm each day. And then it’s time for Holly’s arrival and the week after that it’s back to school.
