During our trip we also visited Hershey, Pa. and spent almost an entire day at Hershey’s Chocolate World ( http://www.hersheys.com/chocolateworld ). As Katie would say, “OMG !!!”. Imagine the World of Coca-Cola, but everything is about CHOCOLATE. Even the streets around Chocolate World, the Hershey Plant, and the theme park are colored a cocoa powder brown and you can smell the chocolate from the factory for at least a mile away. They have street lights that look like Hershey Kisses.
They have several shopping areas and a cafe and a food court. They had an area that you could personalize a big bar of Hershey’s. Katie made one for Herman with her picture on it.

Hershey’s Really Big 3-D show was fun. It is a 3-D experience similar to “It’s a Bug’s Life at Animal Kingdom” with sights and smells and all. The first time through the beginning film wouldn’t play, so they apologized and we went on with the show. After we left the theater, they handed us all a complimentary free pass to see it again with our free chocolate sample. The second time we saw it, everything went off without a hitch and we still got a free sample of chocolate. We also went through the Great American Chocolate tour a couple of times. It shows the history of Hershey’s chocolate and a simulated “factory tour” to show how they make different products. You also get a sample of chocolate after the tour.
